There is nothing more important than knowing and understanding the gospel of Jesus Christ! Please read this page very carefully and consider how you will give account to God when you stand before Him in judgment.

Romans 3:19-26:

19) Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

20) Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

21) But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

22) Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26) To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

The CHARACTER of God. (Romans 3:21-22, 26)

God is the CREATOR. (Genesis 1:1)

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

(Exodus 20:11)

Jesus is the CREATOR. (John 1, Colossians 1, Hebrews 1)

Jesus is our REDEEMER. (1 Corinthians 6:20)

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Also remember that Paul wrote of the “church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.” (Acts 20:28)

God is JUST. (Romans 3:26)

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

11) God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

12) If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. 

(Psalm 7:11-12)

For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

(Psalm 11:7)

God is RIGHTEOUS. (Romans 3:21-22)

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:48)

Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. (Acts 17:31)

9) Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 

10) Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)

Suffering the vengeance of eternal fire…to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (Jude 7, 13)

7) And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 

8) In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 

9) Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9)

God is GRACIOUS. (Romans 3:24)

8) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9) Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

The CONDITION of Man. (Romans 3:19-20, 23)

Man has REBELLED Against God. (Romans 3:19)

Man is Under the WRATH of God. (Romans 3:20)

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; (Romans 1:18)

Man is SEPARATED From God. (Romans 3:23)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

Man is HOPELESS Without God. (Romans 3:20)

THE DIVINE DILEMMA:

How can a just God FORGIVE rebellious sinners who deserve His WRATH?

6) And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 

7) Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. (Exodus 34:6-7)

He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD. (Proverbs 17:15)

The REDEMPTION of Christ. (Romans 3:24-26)

24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 

25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 

26) To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

6) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (1 Timothy 2:3-6)

Jesus’ LIFE Satisfied the Law of God. (Romans 3:21-23)

Jesus Is Fully GOD. (John 1:14)

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Jesus Is Fully MAN. (Hebrews 4:15)

For we have not an high priest which can not be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Jesus’ DEATH Satisfied the Wrath of God. (Romans 3:24-25)

24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 

25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. (Hebrews 9:22)

10) Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 

11) He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. (Isaiah 53:10-11)

Jesus’ RESURRECTION Reconciled Man with God. (Romans 3:26)

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (Romans 5:8-10)

The RESPONSE of Man. (Romans 3:22, 26)

Jesus preached, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” (Mark 1:15)

Paul preached, “both to the Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Acts 20:21)

Biblical REPENTANCE. (2 Corinthians 7:9-11)

9) Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

10) For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

11) For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

Consider the example of Paul: (Acts 9:20) “straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.”

Consider the example of the prodigal son: (Luke 15:18) “I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,”

Biblical FAITH. (Romans 4:5)

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. (Acts 16:31)

A TRUE BELIEVER IS ONE WHO WILL “worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” (Philippians 3:3)
